By Rich Davie@RichDavieMarch 27,2014After struggling with consistency in the UFC, and a UFC record of 3-4 in his 3 year stint while under contract with the premier MMA organization of today, Cody McKenzie took to Twitter to tweet that he's been released from the UFC... and McKenzie made it known to promoters and MMA organizations that he's looking for a new place to call his MMA home.
McKenzie publicly stated on Twitter that he's "no longer with the UFC, looking for fights promoters get at me!" and then followed-up with "Looking to fight whoever!"
Apparently he didn't receive the expected response as quickly as he had hoped, and then he called for his followers to help make the match-up with Shinya Aoki by re-tweeting his next tweet... "Whats up TWITTERS do me a favor and retweet im looking to fight Shinya Aoki cause I know there are some fans who want to watch that."
Cody made a few more tweets, and then got around to asking Ray Sefo for his phone number so he could talk to Ray about fighting for WSOF.
You've gotta love an individual who doesn't waste any time when he finds out that he needs a new place to call home.
I'm gonna say it's probably a safe bet that we'll be seeing Cody McKenzie at his new home in the WSOF organization.
