I called my brother, and he got the fights from the beginning of the prelims... he'll be joining us on the post event show tomorrow.

Kyle Kingsbury vs. Patrick Cummins

Round 1: Cummins inches forward. They exchange jabs. Cummins works for a single leg takedown and gets it. Kingsbury gets to his feet only to be tripped back to the canvas. Kingsbury stands and turns cummins. He lands a knee to the body. Cummins powers forward and takes Kingsbury down. Kingsbury gets to to his feet and Cummins throws him back to the ground. Cummins lands a couple of right hands. Kingsbury gets to his feet and circles away. Kingsbury lands an uppercut followed by an inside leg kick. Cummins drives forward. Kingsbury defends the takedown attempt. He lands an inside leg kick. Cummins secures a double leg takedown. He lands an elbow. Cummins goes to the body with a right hand. Cummins softens Kingsbury up with elbows. Kingsbury gets to his feet in the closing seconds. The round ends. MMAWeekly scores it 10-9 for Cummins.

Round 2: Kingsbury lands an inside leg kick to start the round. He lands another one. Cummins drives forward and takes Kingsbury down. Kingsbury uses the cage to stand and pushes Cummins away. Cummins secures a takedown and lands in side control. Kingsbury gets to his knees and stands. Cummins lands a fews shots as he did. They exchange jabs. Cummins lands a left hand. He changes levels and slams Kingsbury to the canvas. He lands elbows. Cummins lands a hammer fist. He is wearing Kingsbury down. He lands left hands. Round 3: Cummins takes the center of the cage. He lands a high kick. Kingsbury circles on the outside. Cummins rushes forward and takes Kingsbury down. He lands a series of right hands. Kingsbury kicks him off and stands. Cummins drags him back to the ground. Kingsbury gets to his feet and circles free. He misses with a high kick. Cummins closes the distance and secures another takedown. Kingsbury uses the cage to stand and moves away. Cummins lands an uppercut. He changes levels and secures a double leg takedown. He lands left hands before Kingsbury stood up. Cummins controls Kingsbury’s head and lands knees to the body. The round ends. MMAWeekly scores it 10-9 for Cummins.

The judges scored the fight for Cummins by unanimous decision. The scorecards read 30-27, 30-25 and 30-24.

Cummins controlled him like he was his little dog.

Daron Cruickshank vs. Jorge Masvidal

Round 1: Masvidal takes the center of the cage. Cruickshank circles on the outside. Masvidal lands a kick to the body. Cruickshank drops Masvidal with a right hand, but Masvidal immediately gets back to his feet. He taunts Cruickshank. Cruickshank lands a kick to the body. Masvidal inches forward. Cruickshank lands a side kick to the body. Masvidal catches a kick and leaps in with a couple of knees. Cruickshank circles away. Cruickshank lands a front kick to the face. Masvidal lands a kick to the body. Masvidal lands a kick to the body. Masvidal cutting off the cage. He lands a right hand. Masvidal ducks under a punch and secures a takedown in the closing seconds of the round. MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Cruickshank.

Round 2: Cruickshank secured an early takedown. Masvidal reverses Cruickshank. He stands and Cruickshank lands an up kick. Masvidal lands to the body and drops into Cruickshank’s half guard. He lands an elbow. Cruickshank gets to full guard. He tries to stand, but Masvidal keeps him grounded and applies a d’arce choke. Cruickshank works to defend the choke, and does. Masvidal lets the choke go and lands a hard elbow. Masvidal peppers Cruickshank with short punches. He lands a right hand. Cruickshank throws elbows from the bottom. Round 3: Masvidal takes the center of the cage. Cruickshank lands an outside leg kick. Masvidal inches forward. He lands a jab. Masvidal closes the distance and looks to get the fight to the ground. Cruickshank rolls under, but Masvidal gains top position. Cruickshank works his way back to his feet. Cruickshank looks for a kimura and uses it to get free. He works for a takedown and gets it, but Masvidal gains top position. Masvidal delivers right hands. He lands to the body and then the head. Cruickshank works his way to the cage. Masvidal lands a series of right hands. Cruickshank gets to his feet, but Masvidal stays on him. The round ends. MMAWeekly scores it 10-9 for Masvidal.

I see Thomson retiring after this fight... especially if the decision goes against him.

The octagon control yeah. The strikes with those little oblique kicks are starting to annoy me. Can be dangerous.

Josh Thomson vs. Bobby Green

Round 1: Thomson lands first with an outside leg kick. Green lands one of his own. Thomson lands a leg kick and Green counters with a right hand. Green inches forward. He lands an outside leg kick. Thomson lands a combination on the inside. Green responds with an outside leg kick. Thomson fires off a high kick that grazes Green’s head. They exchange right hands. Green is talking to Thomson. He lands a kick to the body. Thomson lands a right hand and gets poked in the eye. He’s given time to recover and does quickly. The fight is restarted. Green lands an outside leg kick. Thomson lands a combination in response. He clinches and lands a right hand. Green moves in with leg kicks. The round ends. MMAWeekly scores it 10-9 for Green with the leg kicks.
