|  March 3, 2014 According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal the two will co-main on the UFC 173 PPV which is set for May 24, 2014. The official UFC Twitter account even re-Tweeted this announcement.  Now this should be a great fight, but one has to wonder if Stipe is not being seen as a contender for the title. You certainly don't put anyone up against JDS if you plan on them fighting the champ. Junior is the #1 contender, and damn well could be the champ if there wasn't a guy by the name of Cain Velasquez destroying everyone he faces. This should be a great boxing match. However, I believe Junior's boxing is the most elite in the UFC. We shall see. Stipe better come with an iron jaw and resolve. UFC 173 is shaping up to be one hell of a card. Especially with Weidman now facing the elusive Lyoto Machida.
