There are several MMA sources reporting that Eddie Alvarez may be out of the Bellator 120 PPV with Michael Chandler due to suffering a concussion during training.

Most of the sources are are attributing this to a tweet made by Greg Savage the executive editor of Sherdog :


Bellator's Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney has yet to confirm this news, but with only a week before the event speculation is that Will Brooks will step in as Alvarez' replacement to "save" the card.

Even though this hasn't been officially confirmed by Bellator's Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney, it seems as if the Bellator's CEO is now hyping ex-UFC fighter Rampage Jackson as he tweeted out on Friday May 9th, with no mention of the main event or potential changes.

That's 2 Bellator PPV's back to back that are going to hurt the organization in their pocketbook.

The 1st PPV wound-up being free when Tito had to bow out... and this one is more than likely to go the same route now as well.

They should stick with their original business model, and continue using Spike to promote and air their events until they're actually capable of putting on a PPV card with more than 1 fight that's worth purchasing.

Apparently Bellator is gonna go forward with the replacement bout, and still try and make a PPV out of this event.

As Yogi Bera would say... this is Déjà vu all over again. LOL

They'll sell even less PPVs for this one than the Rampage/Tito PPV fiasco, and they'll be forced to air it for free on Spike TV once again.

Yeah, but it was the same exact scenario with the Rampage / Tito PPV... the day of the PPV event, they went to Spike TV.

Here's some more on this story...

Apparently Bellator is making the match-up between Michael Chandler and Will Brooks the co-main event... (and the kicker) an interim title fight as well !!

I've never seen anything like this... an interim title fight being made because the champ was not be able to fight one fight !?

WTF is up with that ?
