Phil Harris vs. Louis Gaudinot

Round 1: The fighters touch gloves to get the preliminary action started.  They exchange jabs.  Gaudinot closes the distance and gets hit with a right hand.  Harris works to get the fight to the ground.  Gaudinot briefly looks for a guillotine choke.  He sinks it in and pulls guard to tighten it down and rolls to the mount position.  It’s in deep.  Harris’ face is red.  He taps out.  Gaudinot wins by submission.

The official time of the submission was 1:13 of the opening round.

Round 1: Araujo misses with a high kick to start the fight. He changes levels and works for a single leg takedown. Mitchell gains top position. Mitchell moves to half guard. Araujo reverses him. Araujo moves to half guard. He delivers short right hands. Araujo advances to the mount position. Mitchell works his way back to half guard. Araujo stands over Mitchell. Mitchell isolates a leg. He cranks on the foot with a toe hold. He works for a heel hook. Araujo gets free and delivers elbows to the body. He works in Mitchell’s full guard. Mitchell throwing strikes from the bottom. Araujo postures up and lands a couple of hammer fists. Mitchell gets to his feet at the bell. MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Araujo.

Round 2: Mitchell lands an outside leg kick. He presses forward and lands a front kick to the body. Araujo drops down and works for a single leg takedown. Silva changes levels and secures a single leg takedown. He works from the half guard position. Silva advances to the mount. He lands right hands as Scott gets back to half guard. Scott scrambles to his feet. He circles away from the cage and gets free. Scott moves in with a right hand to the body. Scott presses forward with another right hand to the body. He’s stalking Silva. Scott rushes in and catches a finger to the eye. He was given time to recover and the fight restarted. Silva misses with a superman punch, but lands a head kick. He secures a takedown and moves to half guard. Silva lands to the body. The round ends. MMAWeekly scores it 10-9 for Silva.

Round 2: Silva lands an inside leg kick. He presses forward with a combination. He looks to get the fight to the ground, but Scott stuffs the attempt. Scott lands a clean right hand that forces Silva to retreat. Scott inches forward. He lands a right hand. Scott lands a kick. Silva says it was to the groin. The referee says it didn’t. Barnatt covers and circles away. Barnatt continues to land his jab. Nilsson lands a left hook. Barnatt doubles up on his jab. Nilsson having problems getting inside Barnatt’s reach. Barnatt looks to clinch and Nilsson lands a combination. Barnatt looks relaxed. He fires off a high kick that’s block, but knocked Nilsson off balance. Barnatt leaps in with a superman punch followed by a head kick. Nilsson is hurt. He’s staggered. Barnatt senses the end is near and closes the distance and lands punches. A final knee causes Nilsson to crumble to the canvas and the referee steps in to stop it.

The official time of the technical knockout was 4:24 of the opening round.

Latifi locks it down and forces Diabate to tap out with a neck crank.

Brad Pickett vs. Neil Seery

Round 1: Pickett bounces on the outside. He lands an outside leg kick. He moves forward and Seery lands a right hand. Pickett looks to get the fight to the ground, but Seery shakes off the attempt. Seery moves in with a left hand the knocks Pickett off balance. Pickett inches forward and lands a right hand. Pickett catches a finger in the eye and is given time to recover. He does and the fight is restarted. Pickett lands an outside leg kick and Seery answers with a counter right hand. Pickett changes levels and takes Seery down. Seery ties up Pickett’s arms. Pickett moves to the half guard position. He peppers Seery with short right hands. Pickett sets up an arm triangle choke. He works to move to the proper side, but Seery escapes. Pickett maintains top position. Seery uses the cage to stand and pushes Pickett away. He lands a hard right hand. Pickett moves in and is met with a left hook. The round ends. MMAWeekly scores it 10-9 for Pickett.

Round 2: Pickett steps in with his jab. Pickett moves in with a combination. Seery lands a counter right hand. Seery is landing shots as Pickett steps into the pocket. Pickett closes the distance and ties Seery up. They separate. Pickett walks forward. Seery lands a left hand. Pickett attempts a head kick but misses the mark. He changes levels and works to get the fight to the ground. Seery shakes off the attempt and pushes Pickett away. Pickett lands a straight right hand. Pickett presses Seery against the cage and delivers knees to the legs. He changes levels and slams Seery to the canvas. Seery controls Pickett’s posture. Pickett softens him up with short left hands to the body. Pickett postures up and lands elbows. He moves to the half guard position. The round ends. MMAWeekly scores it 10-9 for Pickett.

Round 3: They touch gloves to start the final round. Pickett moves in with a right hand and gets hit with a right hand counter. Seery looks for a takedown but Pickett stuffs the attempt. Pickett continues to move forward. Seery lands a counter right hook. They exchange. Pickett gets accidentally poked in the eye with a thumb. Pickett is given time to recover and the fight is restarted. Pickett lands a combination. Pickett presses forward and they exchange. Seery lands a combination. Pickett changes levels and takes Seery down with three minutes remaining in the round. He works in the half guard position. Pickett passes to side control. Seery works back to half guard. Pickett lands left hands to the body. Seery scrambles to his feet and they separate. Seery lands a combination. Pickett answers with a jab. Seey presses forward. Pickett shoots in and secures a takedown. He moves to the half guard position. Pickett postures up and lands a right hand. The round ends. MMAWeekly scores it 10-9 for Pickett.

The judges score the fight for Pickett by unanimous decision. The scorecards read 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28.
