| Cain Velasquez has injured his right knee, and will be unable to compete in UFC 180 in Mexico. Mark Hunt has agreed to step up on short notice, and fight Fabricio Werdum for what will be the Interim Heavyweight title. My heart really breaks for Velasquez. I'm a huge fan of his, and I know he was looking forward to competing in Mexico. I imagine the UFC is pretty bummed, too, as Velasquez was the lynch-pin of their expansion into Mexico. But, how about that Super Samoan?! He now has a chance to hold a UFC strap! I'm a big fan of Hunt, too - would love to see him add "UFC HW Champ" to his resume. War Hunt!! | |

| I saw this news earlier tonight.
Lots of injuries this year to the champs in the various weight classes.
At least this makes things a little more interesting in the HW division.
Cain has already been out for over a year now, and by the time he returns he'll be out for well over a year.
I'll be picking Werdum to get the win in this match-up. | |
